An intimate premium enclave between Bang Tao and Kamala: a short “house” beach, hillsides of view villas and one of the island’s priciest coastal strips.
Surin is a small, statusy area between Bang Tao and Kamala. It was once dubbed “Millionaires’ beach” for hillsides carrying villas of Amanpuri and The Surin calibre. After the illegal beach clubs were cleared, Surin became quieter and cleaner: today it is calm premium without mass tourism — with Boat Avenue and all of Bang Tao’s infrastructure 7–10 minutes away.
Surin beach is a short (about 800 m) arc of white sand with a quick drop-off; high-season water is crystal clear, low season can bring waves and currents. Next door — the intimate Pansea bay by The Surin hotel and 8-kilometre Bang Tao 5–7 minutes away.
Surin is a small-batch market: boutique hillside condos with sea views and premium villas. Land is scarce and large new projects are rare — supply is permanently constrained, which supports prices. Condos start from ~$180–200k; view residences and villas run past $1M. We are adding the area’s project pages to the catalog — ask us for a current shortlist.

Surin’s audience is returning guests of expensive hotels and villa renters: cheques above the island average, marked seasonality. Sea-view units within walking distance of the beach rent for more than Bang Tao equivalents, but the supply pool is smaller — picking the right format matters.

It is the most intimate of the three: a short beach, little construction, a premium segment. Bang Tao brings infrastructure, Kamala more accessible prices, Surin — status and quiet between them.
Condos — from ~$180–200k for compact units without views; view residences — from ~$400k; premium villas — from ~$1M and substantially more on the front line.
Beach clubs on Surin itself closed after the shoreline clean-up — club life is in Bang Tao (5–10 minutes). That is exactly why Surin is prized for its calm beach.
Premium buyers who want quiet, views and an uncrowded beach — with Bang Tao’s infrastructure 10 minutes away. For maximum rental yield, most choose Bang Tao or Layan instead.
