Thalang has no sea of its own — it is an inland area. But it sits equidistant from the best north-west beaches: Bang Tao and Layan are 10–15 minutes, Nai Yang and the airport 20–25. Instead of a beach there are the Bang Pae and Ton Sai waterfalls in the national park and lakes for walks.
Thalang is the market of new-generation villas: modern 3–4-bedroom pool villas from ~$300–450K — 25–40% below comparable homes in the Bang Tao belt. Buyers are families here for the schools and sport, relocators, and investors playing the overflow of demand from the pricier coast. Condos are few — this is villa land.
